Lauren Rand MSN, RN, CPN, CPST is a Certified Pediatric Nurse and Child Passenger Safety Technician.
Enjoying the learning process has allowed her to earn degrees in psychology, a Master of Arts degree in counseling, a Bachelor of Science in nursing, and a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in nursing education.
She has been a registered nurse since 2013 and a Certified Pediatric Nurse since 2015. She has worked in a myriad of pediatric health care settings spanning from an inpatient psychiatric facility, a children’s hospital, a pediatrician’s office, a long-term care facility for children with complex medical needs to most recently serving as a clinical nursing instructor for a local nursing school.
Lauren discovered her driving force for car seat education when she gave birth to her son prematurely. Despite her nursing background, she knew very little about car seat safety and vowed to change that.
Joining her passion for car seat safety and love for teaching, Lauren became a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) in 2020. She proudly provides in-person car seat services in Louisville and the surrounding areas in Kentucky and Indiana. She delivers virtual car seat services and classes to serve families nationally. She also provides private success mentoring and tutoring to nursing students at every step of their journey.
When she’s not thinking about car seats, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, reading, working out, listening to true crime podcasts, and binge-watching TV shows.
Lauren lives in Louisville, KY with her husband, their 5-year-old son, and two dogs. You can find her on her Facebook page, Lauren Rand CPST, or on Instagram @laurenrandcpst.
